I am Gideon, a philosopher, life tutor and Reiki master for the past 20 years. My focus is on spirituality, meditation and a healthy lifestyle. I do counselling and chanelling, write spiritual articles and do research on quantum fields and it's relationship with the human body, mind and soul. For the past 40 years I have studied various spiritual trends and healing modalities but Reiki was my choice because it is one of the few techniques where you as the therapist are only an instrument. This means that I do not make diagnosis of physical conditions or claim that I heal any physical problems. I merely act as an instrument in the hands of your higher Self that works through me. That is my intention, my trust and my belief.
I studied BA, BA honours psychology, BA honours philosophy and MA philosophy degrees at the University of Pretoria and University of South Africa. After university I started a candle business as well as a Theatre restaurant where I was chef and manager for 30 years. After I have sold my restaurant I moved to Portugal where I now live for 3 years.

I start with a short explanation of what Reiki is and answer questions that you may have. I then hear from you what your intension with the session is.
We start with a session on the vibration bed for half an hour while we talk about Reiki and your intensions. The vibrations of the bed combined with voicing the intentions you have for the session out loud activates your parasympathetic nervous system, reducing cortisol while releasing endorphins. It also helps with pain relief, fibromyalgia, headaches lower heart rate and blood pressure. It reduces stress or anxiety, boosts the secretion of serotonin/dopamine. It helps with the energy alignment as these vibrations interact with your chakras at a cellular level.
Introduction

I studied my Reiki Masters diploma with Hamsa Le Roux in Cape Town 30 years ago. I practiced as a Reiki master for 20 years part time and now for the past 5 years full time. During all these years I have learned how to disconnect from myself and move into a very deep meditative state so that I only become an instrument so that the universal energies (Rei) moves through my hands into your body and connect with your (ki), also called your Qi.
Below I will explain more about what it is, how I think it works, and what happens during a typical session with me.
Reiki is a Japannese energy healing technique that reduces stress, enhances well being and promotes your body's natural healing abilities. The healing is enhanced by the energy that is transferred into your body through my hands. Setting your intention before the session is therefore important as it will focus the energies to the places where healing is needed.
What is Reiki?
What happens during a session?
The rest of the session you are on the massage bed. You lie fully clothed on you back covered with a towel. I test your chakras with my pendulum and put crystals on the chakras that appear to be closed. In the background I play beautiful music that soothes and calms. You close your eyes and I give suggestions in your subconscious whilst whispering near your face. You will not consciously hear what I say, but it will register in your subconscious.
You can then drift of into a beautiful, deep sleep (and some of my clients even snore). I work on the chakras on your body by hovering my hand over them and then work on the chakras of your etheric body (your astral body that sits around your body). I align the chakras and when I work on your electro (mind) magnetic (heart) fields, I activate the link between the chakras of your physical body and your subtle body.
After the session I wake you up and let you move into your new, transformed body. you then get up and I make us tea and we discuss your session, your insights, revelations and experiences.
A session cost 30 euro and last anything from an hour to two hours.
I am located in Areeiro in a beautiful apartment where there is always parking available. The apartment is 6 minutes walking distance from the Metro and 8 minutes from the Roma/Areeiro train station.
