The meaning of life.

When a person has left this earthly plane and you need to sort out their things, you are faced with the question of what to do with “their things.”
I remember when my aunt died and I discovered heaps of photos and memorabilia that I had no idea where they were from, when they were taken, or who was in them, and I just had to throw them in the dustbin.

Things become part of our lives, and we carry them in our hearts, but when we are gone with the wind, the things become worthless. We think that things give meaning to our lives, but actually we give meaning to things. Without us, they do not have meaning.

This also goes for life. We try to find out what meaning life gives to us, as if life has an intrinsic meaning and purpose and we must discover it. The art of living is to give life meaning. Life is just another “thing,” and you must decide on its meaning and purpose.

Do not wait for other people to tell you what you mean or what your purpose is. Find it in what excites you the most. If you are excited about making a sculpture or baking an egg, do it, because that is the thing beyond your thinking that comes as a message from your soul. Through excitement (and curiosity, likes and dislikes) you can attune your life with your soul. In that way you can be and become your soul’s purpose.

So, do not decide in advance what your meaning and purpose are. Observe yourself and write down all the things that you do or experience that excite you, that you want to know more about, that you would love to do. Those are the things that your soul would like you to do. Those are the things that will also transform you into a higher vibration that will bring you closer to who you actually are. This vibration will become a harmony that you can dance to, and it will change this earthly existence into a paradise.

The older I get, the more I realise that, in general, for all living beings, “living” is the meaning of life. That means doing the things you need to do: breathe, eat, connect with others, exercise, be grateful for your life, respect nature, and allow yourself to love all and everything. These are energies, not things, and they do not disappear the day you are gone. In fact, these energies live on in a sphere that our minds cannot fathom or fully understand.
